satisfied with the composition and still exploring the texture and color interplay.i'll be interested to see this printed. possibly on canvas, definitely on a textured paper.

took the "nancy sinatra"[ my 1969 glastron v 143 jetflite] out for what may be the last run of the season and got the material for this photo illustration of one of my favorite houses on camano island. too late to enter it in the show gallery by the bay show in stanwood,washington this fall but i may tweek it for a card this christmas.still going back and forth about doing the camano art association mother's day studio tour next year, we'll see.......

i became attached to the house by some strange connection, not quite sure what. i photographed the house over the last several years hoping it would be restored or turned into a community center or something. seems a shame that it is gone.i haven't been back to the site since it was removed.maybe this summer.
a good friend, rodney brandt, made a few archival injet prints for me that i will sell atmy home studio during the tour.one has been donated to the camano art association's scholarship fund headed by my friend patricia fey.

unclad in stanwood is over and now the show moves to portland.getting ready for the camano island mother's day studio tour in may. got to get moving. i seem to be heading in to a sepia phase. the colors were getting away from me, might add a little as i go. "shrunken wings" a concept i carry with me from gino vannelli's "pauper in paradise" suite .wish i could find the lyrics.

took a nasty fall the 14th of january and landed up in providence hospital in everett, washington for 4 days.while the hospital is no resort/ spa , i was truly impressed with their level of professionalism and dignity. i have to wear a back brace for 6 months but i still am counting my blessings. it could have been a lot worse. during my 3 week "house arrest" i came up with this image "healing".

my giclee [archival inkjet] proofs for the image of mine that was chosen to be the poster for the camano island studio tour poster/ brochure coming up on mother's day came in yesterday and ,wow, they really came out great.gotta get some other images ready for the tour.

i think this one is finished.dropped out and pulling back from the camano arts association.getting away to seattle last weekend made me realize that things here are so small and the rest of the worls is out there.gearing up for unclad and the camano island studio tour. on my terms.heading to 50 and stepping on the gas.
